What Does Your Certificate Actually Carry?
Five questions, about a minute. However you run your training, this is what your learner walks away with.
At the end of a course, your learner gets
An employer could check it without contacting you
It can go on a LinkedIn profile as a credential
It states the learning outcomes, not just the title
You issue them
5 to go.
Why this matters
Your Platform Already Issues Something. The Question Is What It Carries.
Most course platforms hand the learner a PDF at the end. It has their name on it and it looks the part. What it usually cannot do is prove itself: an employer has no way to check it, it will not sit on a LinkedIn profile as a credential, and it rarely says what the learner can now do.
That is not a criticism of your platform. Issuing credentials is simply not what it was built for. It is the one step that gets added afterwards, and it plugs into what you already run rather than replacing any of it.
